53-56 Hood

Has anyone made there own bracket to open the hood from the back or do you have to buy a kit of parts to do this? Thanks

Most go with front flip hood. Hopefully someone that has done it will chime in.

I take it you mean a flip-to-the-front hood. Here's how I did mine: 1956 Ford F100 4x2 - Front Tilt Hood

Thanks, was trying to figure out were to put the hinges, great way to open the hood and not to hard to fabricate, and low buck, us retired guys need low buck, great idea!

a numbr of folks have tried to make some change in hinges in the original location to allow standard opening.. I haven't seen any great successes..

I have seen a number of nice reverse tilt solutions, some very economical, with varying amounts of work and talent required.
