Tilt hood question

The PO installed a tilt hood on the '55 I recently picked up. I believe it's THIS ONE but I'm not positive. The problem is there's nothing holding it down in front, so if I were to get up to probably 25mph or above it would come up in the front. Does this kit use the factory hood latch or something else? Thanks!

It's suppose to still use the original latch, just NOT the extra safety catch. You need the latch to hold it down in the front.

That is correct, use the stock latch. You pop it open and it raises slightly, then you slide it out on the rollers and prop it open. . Hope this helped,L8R ZFLASH

Mine looks slightly different, but the same concept none the less. I ordered the kit today, so once I get the wiring done and the latch on I should be on the road!
