Hi all. Just wanted to get your opinion
On something. I put a 3" lift On my 2015F250Regular cab long bed.but I wanted solid blocks for it.so I called pmf . sthe guy on the phone told me for 6.5inch blocks I need 1.25deg blocks I tried to give more info but was told 8ft bed gets this block.ok put them on now have vibration.emailed him and was told the Same that's the right one did some looking around and it turns out my truck has the snowplow setup.the drive shaft has a double carden joint which mean stock 4 inch block has a 4.5 angle stock.email him back was told I have to pay to ship blocks back and if their in good shape I would get refund.now they told me what block to get so do you think its right for me to pay shipping. Sorry for long post just not to happy with PMF .
Yeah there is companies out there like that. I avoid them. Best bet is to go thru the like of amazon, ebay or walmart that has free returns then straight thru a company due to reasons like this.
I would be more mad at the fact that all that labor is wasted then they slap you in the face with their lack of customer service. This is their business and there is no excuse for their mistake, sorry you had to go thru this.
I try to support smaller businesses when I can. I think PMF makes good products as well. Sounds like they didn't ask the right questions to get the proper block for your truck unfortunately.... Make it clear you don't think it is right for you to pay for return shipping, hopefully they can work with you a bit. The blocks are custom built right? They probably will be eating cost of labor and material on yours...
Ya their custom made.well I guess I'm going to have to shim it because they don't seem to want to work with me which is a shame they have a nice product.
Well just talked to pmf they said they will take care of everything. This makes me happy. Some times things work out. And again their product is really nice. just have to do all that work putting them on o well what are weekends for?
Most lifts are measured from a theoretical stock ride height. So a 3" lift could actually net you anywhere from maybe 2.5"- 3.5"+ depending on how your truck was optioned and/or how beat it is. So having to shim in an axle after a lift to get proper pinon/caster angles or to eliminate driveshaft vibrations isn't unheard of.
Which is why there's so many post about just putting a lift on and having vibrations......
Ya there is more to lifting a truck.than just putting some parts on. But my issue was with the angle of the block. I have a CV drive shaft so I need a 5 degree block not a 1.25.and when I get it on we'll go from there.
