This one has me scratching my head. Truck squeaks when only turning to the right. Dead silent when turning left. Only happens at low speeds with a slight turn to the right. If I barley touch the brake pedal it goes away. As soon as I let off the brakes or straighten the truck up it goes away. I've checked the dust shields and it's not them. New motorcraft calipers and pads (less that 2,000 miles on them). Pads coated in brake quiet. Brand new motorcraft rotors. New hardware kit (pad clips and "V" springs that keep the pads from dragging). Everything is so new; I have no idea what it could be. I was reading earlier, and some folks talked about sanding/filing the inner edges of the pads (where they contact the rotor) creating a very slight bevel and supposedly that helps. Any thoughts?
Have you checked hub and rotor temps w/ an IR gun? I had a brake dragging so slightly that a temp gun was the only way I found it. It was consistently 10 or so degrees hotter than the other side. Couldn't tell it by feel but the gun picked it up. Also never hurts to flush the fluid. Unless you've changed it, it could be factory original.

have not tried an ir gun yet. Fluid is new, brake lines are new, master cylinder new. Everything is new.
Removed both sets of pads off the front and beveled the edges where it meets the rotor. Went for a drive and the squeak is still there but maybe not as bad. Think I’m just gonna have to live with this one. I have such odd, unexplainable and hard to solve problems at times. I think my expectations are much too high with my vehicles.
So, living with the brake squeal is not an option. Can't stand it. @aawlberninf350 what do you mean by "working the pad tabs"? I have already greased the slide pins.
Brake squeal when only turning to the right. Goes away with light brake pressure applied. When driving straight, no brake noise. And no, I did not replace all these parts chasing this noise. Truck is under a major overhaul. Noise is a product of all my hard work lol.
new parts:
New master cylinder
new brake lines
new fluid
new rotors
newer pads and calipers
new brake hardware kit
slide pins cleaned and greased
dust shields checked
I noticed when installing the brake pad clips into the caliper that one or two was a little loose. Maybe these are contacting the rotor when force is applied by turning? can these clips be tightened?
To the pad tab idea; if the tabs are slightly too large and fit too snugly into the caliper they will not retract properly. Remove any extra paint or hit the tabs with a flat file so they are no longer snug.
For the loose pad clips you might be on to the problem. I associate brake noise with shoes/pads not retracting fully, but maybe the clips are sloppy. Do you still have the originals?
I ran into both issues when doing pads on my daughters Jeep recently. New clips did not fit as well as the old ones, and one pad tab had a paint goober.

Yes they can. Just squeeze the the tabs that hold the spring clip to the carrier slightly to get them to grip better. Alternatively, spread the groove the pad tabs sit in so the spring clip squeezes into the groove on the carrier a little tighter.
Have you tried applying a thin film of brake grease between the spring clips and the carrier and also between the pad tabs and the spring clips?
Yeah. The favorite on here is the Permatex ceramic stuff. Just a thin film will suffice.
