That's why I asked ducted or not. Mines ducted dumping air out of 14 vents compared to blowing straight out of bottom of unit in living area.

Mine is ducted, but only 4, maybe 5, vents.

Our fiver has 3 Coleman Mach 13.5 BTU units, 2 are direct dump into living room and kitchen, third is ducted to bedroom and rear bathroom. I’m half deaf (literally) so I asked my Bride if she thought that they were particularly loud, she doesn’t think they are, the ducted one is a bit more quiet but the direct dump ones aren’t overly loud to us anyway.

Have you looked at the Furrion Chill Cube? Supposed to be awesome from the reviews. Uses less power and variable speed. People say it’s much quieter than the Coleman’s. I have two 13.5 Coleman’s in my fifth wheel and I’ve been kicking around the idea of swapping the living room one with the Furrion Chill due to the supposed less noise and better cooling. Energy use might be a plus for you since you’re off grid a lot from what I remember.

The Furrion Chill Cube is slightly taller than a Coleman Mach 15. If your camper is already at max height, it's something to consider.

If my Coleman dies, I'm sure not replacing it with the same unit.

I was wondering when someone would come up with a variable speed unit. I'm wondering if the blower fan is also variable speed or if has different speeds that can be controlled by the load and temp. I installed inverter driven unit on our house and it's super quiet.

Ive looked at them but no adapter kit for the Carrier. Mine has the remote for ac & furnace. I don't want to hardwire a wall mount.

My condenser fan motor is what the issue is. I'm going to pull it and see if anything can be done with it before committing to an AC unit. Problem of fulltime and no stick and brick to get stuff shipped to can be a real pain in the ars.

I looked a little closer and it's not valuable as a heat pump so it wouldn't work for us.
