I should have posted an update. Believe it or not this issue was resolved after I changed the oil temp sensor located near the IPR. To explain the full scenario I wired in a new pig tail for the IPR and still no change. How ever when I was doing the work on the wiering harness I had unplugged all of the sensors that share the same harness as the ICP and IPR in order to gain better access to the wiering while I was doing the work. I noticed when I unplugged the oil temp sensor that the plastic part of the sensor would actually spin inside the metal housing, I disregarded this as I didn't understand how it would contribute to my problem. The New pig tail didn't solve my problem so I took my truck to Dan kropinak at SDK proformance who was also stumped. He put in another new IPR, ICP, ICP pig tail as well as a crank position sensor just for kicks and the problem still prosisted. He was just as stumped as I was and changed the fuel filter just to see if that would make a difference. At this point him and I got talking and I explained the issue with the oil temp sensor. He changed that sensor out and sure enough the problem went away and the truck hasn't skipped a beat since. Dan who is 7.3 wizard said he hasn't encountered this problem before and can't recall ever coming across it online.
