I've put 750 miles on the tires and like the way they ride and quiet.

But..... they only had 275/65r18 in stock, stock size on the truck was 275/70r18. I wasn't thinking too much about the difference in size until the 8 hour drive home yesterday and the speedometer being off which sort of bothers me but certainly not the end of the world.

Here is a pic of the display both at 70 mph (used my gps to see what was 70mph).
The 275/65r18 is reading 3mph faster than actual speed. Slightly high rpm of 150+/-.

Using this site...https://tiresize.com/gear-ratio-calculator/

Inputting old and new tire size with my 3.73 gears it appears I've gone to 3.86 gear ratio.

Maybe take care of it with Forscan? Not a huge deal except racking up more miles than you actually are traveling.

I'm going to have to fix it, noway will I be able to do endless hours of driving and have it off by that much.

I see on Amazon I can get a FORScan OBD Adapter for the laptop $51. I guess I'll be learning a little Forscan in the near future.

On a side note I had extra reflectix left over from doing the rv windows. Now on the job site in the desert a little extra shade to help cool the inside of the truck.

@scraprat I noticed the same difference. My winter tires are 65's and my summer tires are 70's.

An update on these Cooper Discoverer ATP II tires now at 177,577 or 26,998 miles on them. They've been rotated twice so far. The tread depth and wear pattern are looking great.

I've liked them enough to get a set for the '16' dually tomorrow, those tires in desperate need of replacement badly.

Currently have the Goodyear Kevlar Adventure with only 29,050 miles after 3 years. I usually rotate the fronts to the inside rear about 1/2 way through their life because with the front dauls have a tendency to wear the outer edge from being pushed going foward in turns from the rear dual tires as can be seen with these tires. This is excessive and normally don't let them get this bad, notice the cords showing.

The rears weren't bad at all just getting near the wear bars.

Going through the 2024 mileage book.
1/1/24_ 129,415 miles _ engine hours 3,305 _ idle hours 1,044
12/31/24 _ 177,766 miles _ engine hours 4,539 _ idle hours 1,456
Totals 48,351 miles _ engine hours 1,234 _ idle hours 412
3,726 gallons

For my driving & use conditions, over all average for the year is 12.98 mpg.

I would call it 13 mpg as an average for my use pattern after 3 full years of recordings. Pretty consistent mileage.

From 2022 & 2023
