Bench Seat Floor Console

I am looking for some floor mounted, bench seat console ideas for my 53 Ford pickup. I have seen some exceptional bucket seat consoles and I figure lots of people have worked this issue out already. My first preference would be to use an OEM product. The second option would be making something.

This is mine. The way it is it works great. If I were to do it again I would make a couple of enhancements: add a place for a cell phone to sit and I would probably stagger the drink holders a little.

I believe my seat came from a 1997 F150. When I had the seats recovered, I decided to have the headrests shaved and the "bucket" of the seat on both sides moved inward. By doing this, i was able to remove some of the cushion overhang on each side which shortened the overall length of the seat. More importantly, the "bucket" of the seat where my backside is positioned is now aligned with the position of the steering wheel.

Red Rascal - Sorry, I don't have any specific recommendations for center consoles but that seat looks GREAT! Seems that most on here either take a trip to a salvage yard to find something or make their own. I think there have been a few discussions on the board before and within build threads that might give you some ideas. Try searching for some interior discussions - they may mention what center console they have used or how they built it.
