Ideas for center console?
Has anyone found a center console that works under the dash on the '53-56?
I've been looking in the junk yards but haven't come up with anything. I'd like to mount the radio under the dash in some type of console with small speakers on either side. Maybe some drink holders and junk storage too. I was thinking there might be something out there that would work with minor modification.

AFAIK, you won't find any cup holders on FoMoCo consoles until the 1990's.

I built mine as well using 1/2 inch plywood. & inch DVD player will be going in it soon. Mine sits right under the stock heater and extends to the seat. I plan on buying some fancy cup holders on Amazon to mount into the console.
