Hello again, back with the turn signal problem. A short history. They wouldn't work below 40° outside run the heater for 15 minutes they start working. Now they've stopped all together. I believe it's a problem somewhere between the fuse box and the flasher connector i have to check power and ground at the flasher(thanks Ford for putting the flasher where you did) My question is on the back of the fuse box is 2 connectors(see pic) c242 & c243. Is one connector for power in and the other for power out if so does anyone know which is which. And does anyone have a pinout for the flasher. Any diagrams or help greatly appreciated
I believe you are working on the 1999 in your public profile, if that is not right let me know and I will see what I can find. I found the following documents during a search.
Relay block is on the right side.
I am not sure if you are having a problem with all 4 or just 2 signals, so I will link documentation for all 4.

yes this is my truck E99 f350 superduty build date 8/98. Thanks for the reply. the fuse panel under drivers side has 2 fuses labeled for the flasher both are good in the box #1 flasher relay and #23 electronic flasher. None of the turn signals work front or rear, emergency flashers work front and rear. I believe fuse #23 supplies 12v to pin #2 from c243 via a wh/bu wire is this correct. Thanks again.
So the 4 way hazard switch illuminates the bulbs, but the turn signal lever/multifunction switch does not. That is my understanding anyway.
Did you test the fuses with a multimeter or test light?
Do the bulbs come on if you turn on the running lights? I know that is another element, but that will fill in another piece of the puzzle.
I couldn't find connector 243 in the connector listing or the diagram, but perhaps I just missed it. The only connectors I found in the circuits were c242a and c242b, which I posted above.
I see the WH/LB (not WH/BU) circuit in the first diagram labeled circuit 294 that goes to splice S235 and changes to a WH/VT wire before going into the CJB.
Have you looked at the turn signal/multifunction switch for proper operation?
I have 2 MFS both good and 3 electronic flashers good. I believe it's a connection expanding and contracting with weather change. I think the 99s are a little different with connector # and color codes than the 2000s. With these diagram and what I have I can narrow it down to my truck an e99. Here's what I have.
The turn signals are the only thing that don't work frt or rear or dash indicators everything else works brake lights emergency flashers running lights all work frt and rear. Thanks again.
Thanks for your help neither one of the diagrams matched up 100% but between the info I had and you supplied i was able to track the problem down and will have it fixed in the morning. Thanks again

What ended up being the issue? I am having the same problem and a planning on digging into it when I have time this week. Thank you in advance.

On mine I found a cold solder splice. That spliced off the wire from the #1 fuse and traveled up to the flasher. The splice itself was in the loom just above the accelerator pedal. If yours is also a e99 I'm sure you know where they hid the flasher. You can follow the main power wire from there to the splice. I believe mine was a contraction problem when cold then when the cab warmed up it expanded and made contact. A real strange problem and difficult to find. Hope this helps and good luck.
