Hello all, Radius arms question is when tightened or adjusting the radius arm and bushing to the bracket should the truck be lowered on the ground or jacked up ?
Code 311 thermactor inoperative right side what does that mean ?
The truck should be on the ground whenever tightening any suspension bushings.
For the code 311, first check to make sure your air pump is turning. If so, next check all the vacuum lines. I just serviced a 96 F150 with CEL on and code 411 and it was the vacuum line for the thermactor valve was rotted and just fell apart in my hands.
The 311 code with the R beside it means the truck was running when you did the test. KOER test. If you didn't run KOEO key on engine off first, you should. Any KOEO codes should be corrected before moving to the KOER test. This may help further identify the 311 issue as the code could mean several things.
311 (R) AIR system not working - Single, Right or Rear HO2S - Air Injection
Hey sandymane, yes sir i did the koeo test and got code 111 then saved codes were 212, 332. Then i did the koer test and got the 311 thermactor inoperative right side. I used a obd1 code reader.
I'm not at my resources now. Those codes definitely need to be addressed. I will pull the info in the morning and post my findings for you. After you run the KOEO test, the reader will show a C on the screen and it mean continues memory. We probably need to know which mode those codes appeared in, as they may mean different issues.
Yep I waited until the reader finished pulling codes, the rotating square had disappeared and I waited full 30 seconds before turning off. I have replaced the egr about 3 months ago before I pulled codes. I just recently purchased a code reader....
KOEO 111 system ok 212, 332 continuous memory
KOEE 311 Thermactor right side inoperative.
the code reader didn't show an R by the code.
Ok sir whatever you find out will be greatly appreciated.

The codes in memory mean they are not currently active but we're at one point. I suggest you clear them. Run the KOEO test and while it is searching for codes, turn the reader off and memory codes will erase. Check codes again and make sure they are cleared.
After codes are clear, idle truck to operating temperature and run KOER test and check for codes.
Truck should always be at operating temp when testing for KOEO and KOER codes.
FORGIVE ME SANDYMANE, the gentleman had said, 'I just serviced a 96 F150 with CEL on and code 411 and it was the' soo forgive me please. I took that as regardless of what he owns he recently worked on a 96 f150, maybe a friend, a stranger, family, brother, cat, etc.

You didn't do anything wrong. The quote you read was from a poster answering the OP''s post. ❤️
Actually he never said what year truck he had. I looked on his profile to find out.
