Ford Dealer Service -- "The Works Oil Change" Cost?

Assume an 8 quart gas engine, Motorcraft semi-synthetic.
"The Works" includes tire rotation, pressure check, look at brakes and filters, battery test, oil and filters. (all that and a bag of chips)
What are people paying for this service? Looking to first oil change at 5,000 miles.

I use the local Ford dealer's Quick Lane, but they have bags of cookies instead of chips.

No idea what they charge for the "Works" deal, I get the basic oil change on my 6.7 and buy them 4 at a time for $224.

I'm thinking the "Works" synthetic for gas engine is about $80 or more.

Not worth that much IMO.

Last "The Works" package I had done was October 2020. For my 6.2L with 7 qts of the "semi-synthetic" it runs $69.95. Add in a small "HazMat" fee and sales tax grand total was $79.51.

I just had my dealer change the oil in my 2022 with a 7.3 gasser. Total with taxes was $66.20 including 7 quarts of synthetic blend oil, filter, multi-point inspection, and tire rotation. Skipping the tire rotation saves $2.00, and you have to tell them you want that done at my dealer or they skip it. Here's the breakdown: Labor = $15.00 (+ $2.00 for rotation), Oil = $33.25, Filter = $9.20, Paint/Mat. = $3.00, Taxes = $3.75. I checked my retail cost for Motorcraft oil, and that alone almost made the labor free.

I used to change my own oil and I know a lot of guys wouldn't dream of using their dealer. I totally get that, but part of my research when I choose where to buy my vehicles includes a chat with the service manager and a look at the shop. I'm lucky to have a dealer fairly close to me that has good people in the front and back. Might as well go ahead and give them a shout out, Hunt Ford in Franklin, KY.

Good luck sir!

The works

I just paid $59 including tax for The works here in VA, gasser. I frequently get coupons in the mail advertising $49.

Local dealer has a regular 8 quarts dino oil change service coupon for $199. For my 6.7 with 13 quarts of synthetic, filter, etc. it's $375. Got to love living in CA. Needless to say I do my own oil changes for far less.

With tax I think I pay around $70. It's comparable to the local quick oil change place I used to go to. But the Ford dealer rotates the tires and the fast lube does not. And I figure it's on record with Ford should there be any warranty issues.

A problem with my dealer is they’ve twice put the wrong weight oil into the engine. I’ve had to circle back both times, have them drain the wrong oil (5W-20) and refill it with the correct oil (5W-30).

Hoping that 7qts is a typo. Mine took every bit of 8. at 7 it wasn't even registering on the dip stick.

Be careful going to some of the quick change places. I got quoted a decent price from more than one, but when I asked what oil they were using found out it was something that could cause warranty issues if needed.

Do it all myself. Too many flunkies out there. When it's done, I know it's done correctly. Don't have to worry about anything left too loose or too tight. Gives me a good look at things while I'm doing it. I like knowing it has been done properly! Just my 2 cents.
