Cracked main Leaf spring

I went to put air in my tire and found the main leaf cracked. I know it’s a minimal difference but I’m trying to upgrade to the F350 springs. I called the dealership they said they have the B code rear that can be ordered. Unfortunately the dealer nor me know what that translates to as far a weight spec. Any guidance would be appreciated.

Thank You

Get in touch with these folks. I believe they are a Sponsor here and know several people who have been very happy with their service

@RigCity
Can you zoom out a bit, to show the full leaf spring set up from eyelet to eyelet, even if in sections due to the tire & fender being in the way?

There are some peculiarites in that spring stack that do not appear to be OEM. Do you have a lift kit installed?

www.sdtrucksprings.com can help you out if ATS (recommended by Paul above) is unable to. Although, Junior at ATS has always been there the FTE as far as I know. I used SD Truck Springs many years ago when I replaced my rear leaf springs. This was before I was aware that ATS was a sponsor here.

Both have a good reputation though and you cannot go wrong with either.

Here are some more photos I have the PmF blocks, 1 year new Ford helper springs (thankfully replaced those or my truck would be on the floor now) and 3/4 u bolts. Unfortunately there is no time for me to place an order from the suggested sites I’m currently 90 miles from HQ repairing another vehicle then calling a flatbed to bring me home.

Ohh yea new tires next lol

Thank you for the additional photos. They really helped in making the situation you described more understandable.

Unfortunately despite plans to repair the truck tomorrow it must be done now. Can I change the springs one at a time to make securing the truck easier or do I have to do them at the same time.

Do you mean do one side then the other during the same repair time, if so yes it’s very doable that way. That how I’ve done all of mine atleast, it’s not fun to fight the axle and spring by yourself but it’s doable with the right tools.

After sometime the new springs are in. Way harder getting everything aligned without a lift or help this go around. Working the jacks and ratchet straps made things more manageable to line up the locating pins. Truck is riding better!

Good news and thanks for the update.

I remember doing mine on the floor with 2 floor jacks by myself. The locating pins were a bit of a struggle, but well worth the effort in the end.

I had a helper when I did mine last but it was sitting on stands and I used a chain puller to help get stuff lined up. Planning on swapping to a new set of leaves this spring and it’ll be similar situation.
