I am re-assembling my column. What parts need lubrication, & what kind of lube ? Factory service manual does not tell me anything except use general lube. Does not tell me where or what.
Some say grease attracts dirt. I am thinking silicon spray between plastic spacers or nothing. Oh, I have new bearings from Carpenter, that need lubrication. Anyway , all advice appreciated !!!

Thank-you ALL...........I have done much research & I found some moly/lithium grease that is suggested to replace the Motorcraft greases in the Ford service manual. I will try to give part numbers & names later. While doing this research I found very similar grease that claims to be water-proof. That sounds great to me because water is splashed up in engine compartment often.
Original Motorcraft grease had moly & I in it ! forgot if it had lithium or not. I was surprised Moly has been around that long ! Moly....diacoridium or however you spell it claims to put a protective layer on metal shaft ...etc...
I am rushed for time & must post a coupling question in another thread !!!!!!!! More later..........
