What fuel bowl mod are you referring to? 43# is on the low side but it won't prevent start up. Do you have forscan or AE to monitor engine pid's while cranking? Did you pre-fill the reservoir before any start attempts, how many attempts have you made, how long are you cranking during each attempt? Triple checked sensor connectors, fuses all checked w/ a multimeter, unplugged the fuel bowl heater?
In addition to what the others have mentioned, how are you measuring fuel pressure? Logging PIDs will go a long ways to helping diagnose your issues. Using the PID Charting Tool is highly recommended. Details here: https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/1...d-version.html
No I haven't had the chance can't find my scan tool will see if I can today or get another one and will update for you as far as the bowl mod it was the one where he took the plunger out of the bowl I believe the part that's in the center yes I filled the res but it won't get past around 42-43 psi and when cranking it drops imma start at my tank and start working down the lines today I just put the pump on about a month before the truck took a crap i will supply updates as I move forward thanks

If you need to purchase another scan tool, check out the last link noted below that I took from the 7.3L PSD Tech folder.
It is truly appreciated ok I am checking the pressure two ways I have my gauge in the truck which is on the post filter side and I have a injection gauge on the pre filter spot both read the same pressure I just done the tank mod from a post in here so I will be checking fuel pressure again shortly

I will be looking at that as it looks like imma need to get another OBDII Reader can't find mine but I was using forsxan when it was running only thing kept me running this long. I'm not throwing parts it's what I already have done before I dropped the motor back in my lock ring owing was not set right so I fixed that today had a broken ear where it slides on the fuel pump from tank that I am gonna fix today with the wix filter and hose and see if that was the issue I don't believe it will but it was gonna be a problem sometime
Do you guys think that the FPR might not be working properly?
Yes, unless the fuel is bleeding off fairly quickly somewhere so even with a closed FPR the system can’t keep up. New cups could be a culprit. Hate to say that but just my thought.
I would consider a FPR rebuild. The OP could also block the return line and see how much pressure it builds. If that makes it build good pressure then the FPR is likely bad.
It should still start on 43psi though.
Sorry, I can’t remember all the details from the thread if he got it started.
