I think that on some years there was a setting from the key fob that would open up the windows a bit to let the vehicle air out before getting in on hot days. Maybe that is happening if you have that option?
No it was up and the next morning it was all the way down like it is not connected to anything plus it was cold overnight and toe motor runs but nothing happens
Time to pull of the door panel and have a peak. I was in there but I can't remember exactly how the motor work on these trucks. I think it is an arm with a wheel that run in a track along the bottom edge of the window. maybe the wheel fell off of your arm let the window fall down. All you can do is open it up and diagnose and let us know.
Well since I started this thread I just had my 3rd window regulator failure, parked in my driveway and 2 hrs later the drivers window had fallen open due to regulator failure. The 2nd failure occurred last November in a RV park during the night. Don't leave anything valuable in your truck, very insecure due to part failure.
They may not be difficult to replace but they are over $200 and they are failing due to a cheap piece of plastic breaking.
Then I would try www.rockauto.com and see if they have a improved part. I hate that Ford continued to use cheap plastic parts in window regulators. They are not the only ones though. I have replaced regulators before and it not only is a pain but taking the door panel off all the time isn't good for that ether.
