Pressed the DRIVERS SIDE passenger window switch and got nothing. Pressed the PASSENGERS side passenger switch and get nothing. Any ideas? Can't imagine both switches failing at the same time. Also the airbag LIGHT has been coming on and going off randomly.
what's up?

Check (25a) fuse under the hood driver side I don't recall the slot number it will be in the owner's manual. If it is good both windows are controlled by the (gem). Try to back probe the blue/black wire on the driver side switch. (red lead from meter on blue/black,black meter lead to ground. It is the power feed coming from the GEM then it loops over to the passenger side. If no power then a good scanner will confirm if it is the gem. The gem controls other things too but mine was only partially bad. I lost my dash lights and windows but not my mirrors all controlled by the gem in 97 along with the one touch down and the acc relays. That's all I have for now but there are a couple of Moderators here that know more about this than me so maybe they will chime in. Check the above things and report back. Hell I could be wrong about all of this I'm just learning.

Airborne 82nd. Correction windows have a 30a. fuse in slot 25. Also I do not think the airbags are connected to this in any way.
Sorry for the double post. Don't see how to delete the first one before edit.

The drivers side window works perfect. Wipers work.
turn the truck off and the DRIVERS window still works for awhile.
don't see any blown fuses. I don't hear any noise anywhere when pushing the passenger side switches.
Ok it was the motor. I figured since it had lasted over 440k miles and 24 years and the DRIVERS side motor failed about 4 Yeats ago.
well it was most likely the issue.
Works perfect now.
I had to drill out the two dimples so I could get to the two hidden bolts. Came out easy and new one went in easy.
oh yea the airbag light is another issue not related. I think it has to do with the harness that is located in the steering column.

Reason: Incomplete
My passenger side front power window stopped working. I did a computer reset (disconnected battery cables, zip strapped together, reconnected, went through proper relearn start/drive procedures) and has been working ever since.
Yea that's a easy fix. However if the motor is BURNED out
I doubt that would matter. My oem passenger side motor lasted for 444k miles so I can't complain.
I even have the oem muffler still on the truck but here in arizona vehicles can last a long time.
