Ahh gotcha... Yeah talking smack about someone's brand of oil is like talking smack about their ole lady... People gotta learn to lighten up. Good hearing from ya...
for the 5w-40 Phosphorus is 1182 and Zinc is 890, 10w-30 is slightly lower, 15w-40 is similar to the 5w-40 and their 5w-30 is a little lower similar to the 10w-30

That's strange... Typically Phosphorus content is less than Zinc.
It's probably a good oil but the red flag for me is when a oil manufacturer calls out a manufacturers specification (In this case Ford oil specification WSS-M2C171-F1) but Ford doesn't list Triax on their approved list and also calls out API CK-4 but is not actually certified by API. So with a bit of smoke and mirrors with their advertising what else are they blowing smoke?

I actually took that into consideration. I have seen that they were supposed to get Ford approval (can't remember where, another forum I believe) but obviously hasn't happened yet. If I decide to run it next change, I may take a sample just before 5k miles and send out. I'll let the thread know in my truck thread.

Triax is not certified by API and they make no qualms about that. They choose not to pay $ to API for the certification. This doesn't bother me and I approve of the independent mentality. How many people have been killed by FDA approved drugs?

The problem I have is they advertise the API specification on their product and that's misleading the consumer that their product is API certified. Ford Motorcraft diesel oil is not API certified and they don't advertise a API rating on their product.
The FDA requires all drug commercials (advertising) to list all side effects so the consumer can make a informed decision.

They advertise that their product exceeds certain API specifications. Nowhere is the API "seal" shown.
I find it ironic that you're willing to believe a pharmaceutical is safe because the maker says so but you don't trust an oil for your vehicle without an API logo on the container.

I never said I trust a pharmaceutical is safe. What I said is they are required to list the side effects in their advertising.
And yes I do trust a oil without a API logo on the container since I use Motorcraft oil that does not advertise any API standard on the container.
