Engine oil
Has anybody used Costco’s Diesel engine oil? It states on the package that it meets Ford’s specs.. The price is right $35.00/ 3 gallon. It is made by Warren oil, lube king 15-40

The Costco oil is dino oil similar to Rotella T3. Ford recommends a full synthetic for the 6.7 when using bio-fuels, which most is the cast of most diesel fuel sold now.
Your profile does not show your truck as being a 6.7. If your truck is a 7.3/6.4/6.0, the dino oil would be ok.

I'm still happy with Motorcraft 10W-30 diesel oil in mine.

The word synthetic is thrown around far too loosely anyway, if you research the basis for this you’ll understand why there is such an enormous price spread with synthetic oils, Rotella T6 actually isn’t a true synthetic by the standards of a true synthetic, it does however meet the standards of what can be called a synthetic so it makes sense to market it as such and sell it that way. If you want a true synthetic oil look up Driven Racing oil or the PAO version of hotshots secret engine oil and you’ll see that their synthetic oil costs around $40-60 a gallon, there’s a reason for this. It’s not just price gouging. That being said, the Kirkland isn’t synthetic, it’s gasoline engine oil is, but it’s 15w-40 rivals that of Rotella T4 and Mobil delvac 1300

Opps, your right it’s just Dino oil. Got it confused with their synthetic oil for the car. But the price is nice, still..

It is listed in the manual. I just looked. Right there in black and white. Can't miss it. Even on the oils chart for temperature ranges from 20 degrees and above.
