Wow. Some of those apparatus for holding your phones are pretty serious. Way too much going on for my liking. And the prices are kind of insane. Especially the Course one for what it is. I kept it fairly simple. This puts it exactly where I want it so I can glance at it if I need to. Out of the way of the shifter and not in the windshield line of sight. ~$10.
I got the Course mount for 38$ delivered when it was on sale so I didn’t think the price was that bad. I needed to make sure it was a solid enough mount that it wouldn’t sag with an iPhone 12 Pro Max on it while on bad roads when I’m pulling the 5th wheel and I didn’t want to lose the adjustment of the vents. I know there were cheaper options but I wanted something that was a permanent mount and would check all the boxes for the life of the truck.

Yours is the one I wanted, but there was no way I was going to pay $38 for it. Thankfully the one I grabbed has a hook that hooks on the vent and is very solid. you can still adjust the inside vent, just not the side to side. I might still bend up a piece of metal and make one like yours. I like that so little of it is sticking out. The Bulletpoint and the RAM mounts look like they can double as floor jacks!
