I don't get the point... while I'm driving, I don't need my phone in my face. Nor a Garmin, nor this nor that. I will keep my phone in the wireless charging slot until I'm done driving.
I guess some of you guys have a need for other stuff. Not me though. Nice clean and clear interior spaces for me.
Now people on or between job sites, I totally get it. Well, partly get it. Same thing while driving around the 200,000 acre ranch. I may not understand the need for all this stuff, but I'll take all y'alls word for it.
Thats the great thing about America. I can do what I like & you can do what you like. I don’t really give a rip what you do or don’t have in your truck & it’s none of your or anyone else’s business what I have in my truck. We all just cruise down the road with a smile on our faces.

Dude, chill a second.
Okay, that's better.
Go ahead, continue...

I would generally agree with this 98% of the time for my driving....but there are times in unfamiliar places where I will run Waze to see where the cops are sitting or to see traffic backups ahead.
Builtrite dash mount
Ram ball mount
And some kind of arm and phone mount from Amazon...
I’m using a Course motorsports magnetic mount that uses one of the 7mm bolts from the screen and one of they’re magnetic mounts. I have a Rockform case on my IPhone 12 Pro Max that has a magnet built in and the connection is rock solid and doesn’t move or fall when on rough roads.
Built Right, Ram Mount arms. I love my Squish phone mount. It's a wireless charger, and it's gravity clamp - no wire to plug into the phone, no button to push, no batteries to change. I drilled a hole in my dash tray and put in a 2 port USB outlet, tapped into the 12 volt cigarette lighter port lower on the dash. No cables hanging.
I've got the Customer Placed Trailer Cam and TPMS, so no extra displays on the dash either. I just need to get some time to fabricate a proper mount for the Rove R2-4K dash cam.... those zip ties are so trash.
I like these, plus you can get them with a wireless charging option since the wireless charging pad in the SD's is kind of a pain in the a$$ to get to.
@gSwift thank you for sharing your holder. I received my order from shawn, this thing is a great solution, it fits perfectly! I can finally ditch my "cup phone" and get my cup holder back.
I got the one without the charger since I have to be plugged in for carplay anyway

Thats awesome, glad I could help. They do fit nicely
Thanks to the OP for the Bulletpoint recommendation. It’s a very good product and priced right. Wayyyyyyy sturdier than the RAM MOUNT kit I got from builtright Industries. This was the arm and phone mount I got: https://amzn.to/3Cb6zWS
IMO, Less is more.
Lots of clean options out there.
I went the simple WeatherTech route. Almost unnoticeable, solid, no janky joints and no mounting screws..
Still close enough for face recognition.
I drilled a small hole under the console to store excess wire and feed the power wire directly into the cup holder. All wires hidden.

how did you get the lightning wire from the hub in the cubby to the cup holder?
Wow. Some of those apparatus for holding your phones are pretty serious. Way too much going on for my liking. And the prices are kind of insane. Especially the Course one for what it is. I kept it fairly simple. This puts it exactly where I want it so I can glance at it if I need to. Out of the way of the shifter and not in the windshield line of sight. ~$10.
