Ordered 2022 F250 about to be here
New guy here and is my first post. I ordered a F250 in April and it is finally scheduled to be shipped to my dealer by the end of this month. I tow a pontoon boat a few times a year, fill up the bed with mulch, dirt gravel, plywood several times a month. Long distance travel (>300 miles) about 4 times a year. So basically my order is overkill. Originally I ordered a 2021 F150 Platinum in April but around the end of July I noticed the 2022 F250 were on the site so I was able to switch my order without changing my build schedule date. Reason for my post here is I just looked at my order sheet and notice that the 4.3 Electronic Locking Axel Ratio is in the build and I don't recall selecting that. Since I'm not towing a heavy load that is some serious overkill and rarely tow anyway that seems to not fit my needs but I'm stuck with it. How bad was this unintentional screw up? Am I going to cry when I drive on the interstate at my empty tank or is it really not that big a deal? If I were to sell it after 2 or 3 years is this overkill of a truck with its short gears sought after?

Enjoy it brother! Who cares if you’re going to load it up or drive it empty. If it’s what you want then go for it. I drive my F250 from home to the office and back and around town on the weekend. Am I using it the way it was designed? Nope! Do I care? Nope! It’s your money so do as you please.

If it hasn't gone to production, you may still be able to change the ratio.
