Order in Processing

I ordered a 2017 F250 CC SWB 4x4 6.2 with 4.30 on 05-11. Order number is 0986 and according to Ford it still shows Order Processing. Anybody have any insight on what could be holding it up from having a build date yet? I went the 'chat with a rep" route on the build site to get the info and after seeing everyone getting build dates , just wondering if anybody might have an idea

I'm in the same boat as you. Order in processing still. Ordered 4/18. No one has any idea as to what's holding it up.

I was in the same boat as you guys, got this letter from my dealer last week. Maybe it will help some of you!

My Truck is 2017 F250 Platinum CCSB, 6.2, 4:30 as well.

Your order was not scheduling asa “Retail Sold” order type so I switched it yesterday to a “Stock” order typeand it looks like they are going to accept it that way for some reason. I cantexplain why. We did get a VIN this morning, and a tentative build week of7/25/16. The build week can change since it is a brand new body style and theyare having to completely re-tool the plant as well as these first F250’s aregoing to go through a massive quality control program to make sure they areready for the public. Please see the attached build sheet PDF. The PDF is kindof hard to read the options. You can refer to the attached F250 order PDF forthe options we ordered. I do not expect to get any updates for a few weekswhile the plant is being re-tool’d but as soon as I do get an update I’ll passit over to you. Have a great weekend!

Be careful. It turns out my dealer managed to screw up my order from 4/21. I was nervous about no VIN and the dealer telling me "all set" every time I asked for something. I've messaged the FordService rep on this site and they actually contacted my dealer without me asking and are correcting the order on Monday.

I'm kinda torn between callin them and they mess something up or waiting a little longer to see if it finally gets a build date. Feel bad for Azuretruck but admire his patience. Guess I should follow suit and have some patience.

No VIN this week either. The order is entered as stock with a priority 20 but the dealer is suggesting changing order to retail and see what happens. I can't figure out why the order is not being picked up.

Any suggestions on what I should do?

I've got a priority 15. At first , I thought that might have something to do with it. After reading up on all the info posted here on priority codes, I'm sure that it's not the issue. I wonder now if it is one of the options that I picked.

I wouldn't think that would hold up a vin. Do you know how many trucks your dealer has ordered? Mine got 2 right away with vins and build dates just as their rep said. I checked my dealers build log thursday, mine still set for 7-18, hasnt changed. I saw my dealer got a 3rd vin on another of 7 orders sitting in the system. All ordered as stock 21 code

I didn't have that one. I hope word comes soon with either a build date or some type of order rejection. Getting anxious with most everyone getting build dates except for a few

Great! Sounds like you have made some progress. As of Friday I am still holding at "processing, cleared, not scheduled". I know there was a problem removing the upfitter module from the order early on and now I am getting curious if this is the hold up or is it the Priority 10 or is it just natural. I guess I need to become a squeaky wheel: if it is natural, ok. If time is passing due to a glitch I would like to get it straightened out.

In my case the Ford rep said there "was some confusion or issue" with the dual rear wheel setup I ordered...that was one of the changes I made as well. The Ford rep assured me she had made it clear to the dealer I needed a DRW diesel F-350 rather than the gas longbed I originally ordered. So I'm pleased Ford is looking out for the customer, at least on the ordering end. Really, the customer shouldn't have to chase down the order.

Does anyone know who the Ford rep is on this forum? I am going to see if they can look into the order for me to see if there is something wrong with the order.
Thanks
