Got around to connecting the turn signal switch in the steering column. The truck had a after market turn signal switch in it when I got it. It worked good but was kind of short and did not self cancel. I installed a steering column out of a 78 bronco. It took some time for me to get everything straight. I definitely respect guys that had to look at vehicle electrical diagrams in black and white. I am spoiled by modern day system diagrams if color. Had to look at three different diagrams one for the 69 truck one for the 78 column and one for the 73 connector I was using.
Update on the truck, been a great driver and lots of fun. If you have an old clapped out truck definitely a great option. A great project that can be done on a budget. I have driven it three thousand miles so far with no issues other than some maintenance. Replaced the transmission cooling lines and serviced the transmission yesterday.
