I have watching a lot of videos on crown vic swaps and have decided to start looking for a car. Lots of good videos on different ways to do it and what to do. I have decided to use the full frame and swap on my cab and bed. I think this will give me the best results for the money. I picked up a 08 ex cop car vic two miles from my house for $1500. Car runs and drives good a/c even works. Possible bad wheel bearing on drive rear but I think I did ok.
Spending my day off stripping down the crown vic. Removed the body and consolidated the wiring harness. Got everything stripped and ready for modification to harness in 5 hours.
It runs, installed the fuel tank on some jack stands and it cranked right up. Instrument panel was not working found blown fuse. Hooked up the scan tool and checked com to pcm and abs module everything is working. That went easier than I thought, I just labeled all the plugs when I disconnected them. Then I cut all the tape and loom off harness. I then proceeded to cut off all the connectors I was not using and removed all the loose wires.
