You will need a lot more pressure than shop air to truly air test a HPO system. Some of these shops like DieselSite use hydraulic testers that put out a few thousand psi because that’s what the HPOP output is under hard acceleration. 150psi shop air will find a gross leak but the smaller leaks not so much.

I would suggest getting it out on the highway and do those accelerations mentioned above. At least 20 minutes of running it fairly hard.

Agree, it takes a while to get all of the air out. After doing all the work on the '05, I would take it on about a 30 mile drive. I'd drive it through the countryside fairly slow, stop and check codes a couple of times, then a 15 mile jaunt on the interstate at 70 mph (maybe a bit more), come back home, check codes, let it idle cool, shut it down then try to restart.

Several times I'd get a P2552 (I think that's the code) that would not reset. I had to unplug the scanner, turn on headlights, disconnect batteries and reconnect everything to get that one to clear.
