camper package question
im doing my front level kit today. It’s a 2 1/2 ready lift with sway bar drop, track bar relocation, and pinion are relocation. It’s a 2 1/2 , but if I need the front to be higher I can play with different spring rubber busing sizes to vary it if if need to be a a certain lift for the shocks.
for the rear, I think I will have to be a 3 1/4 block just to be level with the front. Meaning, my stock rear 2 1/4 block will have the back sitting lower than the front by 1”. I can order replacement rear blocks cut to any size.
37”’s on 22.5’s will be here Friday or Monday.
my gut tells me to shoot for a 4” lift front and back to air out the 37”s correctly. To do that, I’ll need a 1 1/2 rubber spring bushing and the 2 1/2 lift kit in the front. For the back if I go 4” in the front, then I will need 4 3/4 replacement rear blocks.
I’ll need to measure as I go.
then after all that…figure out what length shocks to get. Hopefully it’s as sine as stock shock lengths+ lift size.
As expected…I’m now 1/2 higher in the front than the back…so tomorrow I’m going to order a plus 1” rear block…so it has a 2 1/4 now I’ll shoot for a 3” or more replacement block. That would give 1/4 higher in the back unloaded. Maybe I’ll do a little more so it doesn’t drop too much loaded.
