Says it shares Bronco Chassis and power trains meaning 4x4 is a great + is my honest opinion ! Will the doors and top come off, maybe offered on a off road model, yea !
I was somewhat interested in this until I saw it’s only got a tiny box and is only available as a crew cab. It looks like it isn’t really 4wd.
what I want doesn’t seem to be made anymore. I have a 05 Colorado reg cab with a 6’ box. I’d really like a new truck just like it. I will not buy a truck with a box shorter than 6’ . I do not need or want a back seat. I have a F350 that I can use when I needed. Yet I like the small reg truck for when I’m doing stuff that doesn’t require a big truck. If the ranger was available as a reg cab I’d probably have bought one of those.

Think a Screw is a good choice with a 2.7L. U can't go wrong and you can throw a body of tools in it ! Heck remove that rear seat and put a whole tool box back there. Better yet bolt 2 together and have access to on at each rear door when front door is open. Good weather storage there. Have found warm tools is a great choice in winter problems !

That's because no one (except maybe you) bought them. No OEM can design, tool up, certify and build a $20k vehicle that only sells 10,000 units a year.
Chiron? Yes, they can afford a product with sales of only a few hundred units/year, but its vehicle go for a little more than $20k.
Not sure why it has to be a great idea just for young families. What about older people who don't need a full sized vehicle?
What I have read is that the largest buying demographic for minivans is grandparents. They recognize the utility of a minivan and are not caught up in the "vehicle as a fashion statement" mentality of younger people.
As soon as they started calling drivers of minivans "Soccer Moms", the death of the minivan was inevitable.
My Grand Caravan was by far and away the most practical vehicle that I have even owned. Fold down the 3rd row seat, and it had more room than the bed of the new Maverick. Not any bigger than the Maverick either.
I just did not need it anymore and Carvana gave me a whopping good offer for it.
Had 4x4 all the time till 2016. Miss it bet didn’t use it much. Heavy snow or soft spring ground. Good thing about it is clearance. Front wheel drive sets low. I suppose a lift kit can help that but possibly drive train problems. That front clearance will make or break it for me. Got to deal with snow plows.
So far my choice for 2022 is a 7.2 Hybrid so the Crews have always constant power at the sites ! The EV seems iffy but for the near county needs it still is in my attention span, who knows. Hope I can figure out that Maverick if 4x4 for the daughter. She likes the Business also so she wants to be here contributing. So stubborn, would get into demolition if I let her ! She most likely will only settle for a 7.2 hybrid ! U know thats not a bad idea if a crew needs the onsite power, just let her go to work there ! get her out of the home office for some peace/relaxation times !
Looks like it well come with AWD and the 2 liter motor as an option to the Hybrid motor FWD, possibly just not building it yet. Noticed on can sigh up for updates !
