If you use JB Weld on the hole in the door...how do you get them loose from the door later?
JB weld the hole, redrill, apply clip. Dont glue the clip in the door.
The clips are 2 pieces anyway. The insert for the door, then the pin on the trim. You could glue the insert in the door if you wanted but if it breaks, you have to start over.
This is one area of the design that I feel could have been worked out better. My idea would have been to mold a metal "washer" in the door for the clip to grip. Not just leave it to brittle plastic/fiberglass.

I glued the female part in the fiberglass door and it worked beautifully! I don't plan to ever have to remove the barn door panels but if I did, it's an easy fix. I agree, the design has it's shortcomings.

Had to redo my glass job today. If it doesn't work, I'll just glue them in.
Upull got me some nice bolt plates and 2 sets of barn door seals.
