I’m 99% sure it’s a roller. Regardless the block should be provisioned for a roller cam, which is the direction I plan to go. It came out of a 95 f150. I don’t think there is an easy way to tell until I get the intake manifold off
There is.. just pull a valve cover off, remove a rocker and pull the pushrod out. If it measures 7.5" it's a roller(8.2" = flat tappet), and a flashlight down the lifter hole will show the dogbone around the lifter in a roller motor.

So I confirmed today it IS a roller cam 351. So I think until I can afford after market heads and intake, I’m going to put 1.7 roller rocker arms in it and run it. I’m going to go through and replace all the seals and gaskets first though. Here are my biggest questions…. With my 5.0 wiring plug into the 351 distributor? And I have what looks like a coolant temp sensor about 1/3 the way back on the drivers side. I know that doesn’t exist on the 302. Do I just plug it and ignore it?

That sounds like an early 5.8 which should not be a roller.. but it could also just be the intake that is older. Does the distributor have a short wiring pigtale hanging off it just like your 5.0 or is there an ignition module on the side of it?
The sensor on the lower intake is the early IAT, you can just ignore it for your purposes.

Short pigtail would be for carb...module plug would be for fuel injection...
It has the short pigtail just like the 5.0. After looking at it, it should mate up just fine. I’m still pulling it apart and cleaning everything up before I put it in. I did fine some oddness though….. it looks like someone coated the intake runners on the heads with POR15 or something similar. I’m not really sure what to think of it. I’m putting new head gaskets and valve seals on, so I’m going to pull it apart, just debating if I should polish this crap off or not.
It’s a full roller motor, no doubt there. Here is the intake.
