Any electricians in here? Yesterday my passenger side window stopped working in the down position... of course. I checked for power at the switch with a test light and I have power at the switch and coming out of the switch to the motor all the other windows work fine. So I changed the motor and still didn't fix it so for the hell of it I also changed the switch still didn't work. I also wanted to note that the switch on the driver side for the passenger side doesn't work either and after putting the new motor in I noticed the window would go down the rest of the way but not back up. Please help I have no ****ing idea were to go next. 03 super duty. Thanks.
Likely one of the door switches had gone bad.
I don’t recall if you can swap the right with the left
or not. But you should try that. If one switch
has gone bad that will make it so you will not
be able to use that function. When I get to a
place where I can access my diagrams I will
post them for you.
I had a similar issue with the driver’s door on my Expedition. The ground wire was broken. Made a jumper and all is ok. Anybody need a window regulator motor for a ‘97 Expedition?
My driver's window has been acting strange. It will go down, sometimes seemingly binding halfway down and actually stop. At that point, the window switch will not allow the window to go up or down. Last weekend I used the "one touch down" function...window went all the way down and would not go back up. I removed the door panel; everything appeared find, I pushed / pried / shoved on the window and it went up again. Not sure if the master switch set on the driver's door is going bad, or if something is binding on the regulator, or what.
I thought these things had circuit breakers that could self-rest on the windows, instead of blowing a fuse during an overload?
They are talking about your instrument cluster, that you.look at as you drive. It is connected to a plethora of electronics. If it starts going bad it's like you have ghosts messen with ya.

That type of issue is do to a Accessory Delay relay going bad in the cluster.
That is what allows the windows and other things to work for about 10 minutes after you turn the key off.
