Ticking noise

I am a new owner of a SD 250 with a 5.4L. There is a ticking noise coming from the engine all the time. I am just wondering if it is normal. I thought it might be exhaust or a rocker arm noise. Any thoughts would be appreciated. Also, my milage is pretty bad, what are some reccomendations.

Take it in right away and get the problem documented. Go to blueovalnews.com and post it on their forum. They have some really good Ford techs who will try and help you. Good luck!
