6.0 No start
6.0 No start
Today I went out to try and start my 2006 6.0 F-350 and noticed the fuel pumped didn’t engage when turning the key on. Truck has 0 dash lights come on, no fuel pump noise, no door chime, nothing. Cross jumping the starter cranks the motor over fine but still won’t start. Any suggestions?
Check fuse 22. Edit - Also check fuse 116 (this fuse supplies power to the PCM Power Relay and to the Ignition Switch and to parts of the Instrument Cluster)
You have more going on than just power to the fuel pump, so more than likely it is something more than a "fuel pump, fuel pump wiring, or fuel pump switch/relay" issue.
IMO the key is the fuel pump (AND apparently the starter) BOTH not operating with the key. Together a likely (common) issue is the PCM.
Also a possibility is a problem with some kind of anti-theft device.
Edit
Maybe checking grounds G100 and G202 would be a good idea also.

Just to confirm, you had the key on while jumping the starter, right? Just the way you described first noticing no fuel pump, rather than first noticing that absolutely nothing happened. Made it sound like something did happen, but didn't seem right, and then you noticed no fuel pump.
Please update this thread when you eventually fix this. Mine doesn't start with the key, but does with the key on and jumping the starter. Maybe I can learn something from your resolution. Good luck - I hate electronics and can't help much.

Some interesting things to remember:
With the PCM power missing (fuse 22 or other PCM issues), the engine won't crank AND the fuel pump will not run. In this situation, jumpering the starter will get it to crank, but it still will not start. For this particular thread, the dash lights will light up with a bad F2.22, if that is the only problem.
With a bad transmission range sensor, the engine won't crank with the ignition key, but the fuel pump will run with the key in the on position. Also with a bad transmission range sensor, the reverse lights will not work when the transmission is placed in reverse (obviously the key needs to be in the on position for this test).
A completely dead starter will not crank, but in this scenario (like the bad transmission range sensor scenario), the fuel pump will run with the key on. Obviously in this case, jumpering the starter solenoid with the ignition key will not get the starter to crank. If you want to, you can rule out a bad transmission range sensor issue by seeing if the reverse lights work when the transmission is put into reverse (key in the on position).
With a bad ignition switch, you may not get the shift lever to move (key in the on position and foot on the brake).

Well, I just verified that after pulling fuse 116 (30A in the Central Junction Box), it prevents cranking, prevents the instrument panel from illuminating, and prevents the fuel pump from running. It seems to be the only "single failure" answer to all that is going on, except maybe the ignition switch itself (as suggested above), but they do not commonly fail (and when they do it is usually mechanical). Will be interesting to see if the OP shows back up to read the posts. That said, if that fuse is blown, it might be fun finding out what caused it to blow! That fuse feeds a lot of "stuff". Perhaps water intrusion of the CJB?
