I have a 1999 f-150 5.4 - 4r70w trans. Had the transmission remanufactured a year ago. On my way to work the other day the trans started acting funny when going 75 - 80 on the interstate. Going in and out of gear, hard shifting and when coming to a stop the gears down shift while engine has high RPMs. Engine light came on. Pulled P0750 code (Shift Solenoid A) from Auto Zone OBD2 reader. Dropped trans pan and replaced shift solenoid A and B. Put back together. Same issue and code came back. Dropped pan again and replaced the harness. Put back together. Same issue and code came back. New Trans fluid, fluid level is good, new shift solenoid, new harness, no scorched wires that i can tell. Now I am looking to the fact that maybe something eternal is messed up or the PCM. Hate thinking it can be eternal due to having it remanufactured a year ago. Any thoughts?
It isn't eternal. It won't last forever. Eternal means lasting or existing forever; without end or beginning.
When this code set it is possible that other codes set, too. Those would be very helpful to understand what's happening. Autozone can't read these. You should download Forscan at www.forscan.org. You'll also need an ELM327 adapter to plug into the OBDII port. The Forscan website gives some info on which one to buy. Mine cost less than $30 from Amazon.
Once you have that you can read all of the codes. Report the code numbers back here and we can figure this out.

thank you for the reply. I meant to say internal...lol. I will most definitely purchase that device from amazon and see if theirs any more codes. Thanks.
