i have a 2000 expedition with the 4R70W trans. I started having problems with my trans shifting into 3rd, acts like its in neutral when it shifts from 2nd to 3rd. when this all started i could just let off the throttle and let the rpm's come down and it would engage and be fine, once it went into 3rd it was fine until i stopped but now i have to turn the O/D off so it stays in 2nd and i can drive otherwise it will just rev. i have replaced the TCC solenoid as well as the shifting solenoids and the hard plastic harness that is inside the pan. today i went to run a jumper wire from the top of the harness to the bottom plug for the TCC solenoid. when i unplugged the harness i noticed it was soaked in trans fluid and i know there should not be fluid on the outside portion of that plug so i dont know if that could be my short in the connection that im getting the code from.. also my O/D light does not come on or flash only the service engine light, trans fluid does not look or smell burnt and there was no metal shaving or debris in the pan
