If the front axle ID's as 80's then that's what I would conclude.

WB is 133" which is what my layout book says is good for a version of 1978 F150 FWD.
Gotta search for WB of 1984 Bronco

I have been triple checking my frame
Dana 44's? Don't really know of them.
17 year old hound dog limits my travel these days.
I have been waiting to pull the trigger on a Dana 60
from da UP eh?

again, just throwing a question or two out there
an ebay search returns:
77-79 FORD F100 F150 DANA 60 NON-REMOVEABLE CARRIER REAR AXLE 4.10 DIFFERENTIAL
(I don't know the rules here (don't want to get chewed out by RR) so I don't post an ebay link)

a pic of this, which should (per this description) fit my 1978 F150 1/2 ton shows:

(at a shop in Caspian MI, dang that's almost wisconsin, not that there's nothing wrong with wisconsin (whisky as we call it) except it's not shielded by a great lake, neither is the southwestern UP) but it gets COLD there)
notice the U-bolt groove marks on the axle tube, heck of a place to get rusty I'd bet.
anyway, what is that thing on the end of the axle tube?
It that gonna work on my 1/2 ton F150?

The distance between spring perches and the width of an individual spring perch are going to be the determining factor as well as the gear ratio of course.

the width and location of the spring seat (I used to weld those on at Sterling Axle Plant (I think it's Ford's only axle plant but my dept. didn't do non-removable) are deal killers
unless I grind them off and have the pro down the re-weld them (I wasn't that great of a welder). Same for the shock mount.
Why do you stress the gear? It's a 4.10. I rode in a friends '70 Chevelle with a 4.11. I loved it. I try it, I don't like it, I swap it out.
But do I have to put doolies on? Not sure my compromised frame could handle that.

A naturally torky 300 straight six with a moderately torky cam with a 4.0 gear. I think that would be a system.
