Decode the vin number and it will give you both the type of axle installed if it's the original cab and drivers side door. There's plenty on this site to help you do that. If you need gelp doing that just post back.
Here's two dana's up by grand rapids $150 each .

Trans/Axle codes are listed separately on the Warranty Plate on drivers door post.

these are ranger 8.8s but shows the sensor location that could be there, could be covered or earlier might not have a sensor

thanks
symonds
both of these had ABS?
the first one looks very similar to mine
in the brake biz, we called that a 3 channel ABS
it controlled both rear wheels as one
it had it's failure modes
electronic brake force distribution
(SW that replaced the proportioning valve)
was challenging to tune
I need to go look at the rear of my carrier

If you're still plowing with it put a limited slip dana 60 under it and don't look back. I'm curious how that axle got there unless someone put an 80's chassis under it. That would be something worth knowing. ID the front axle. If it shows 80+ then we'll know what happened,

Grab the manual from here and it will give you instructions on how to decode it and tell you what year and what vehicle it was in.
