My injector replacement adventure thread

hoped no one would ask yet... Empty and above 1500 rpm it's great!
Well, it'll get me from point A to B for work.
Hooked up the 5th wheel the day after the 100 mile purge drive. And it felt way heavier than it should have, and built half the boost it should. It has an odd FIPW graph jumping up and down a full point at a time. And odd soft codes coming from the overhead display for FIPW and VSS. Idle is lopey now with a hint of surge, but nothing showing up on logs. Had a soft code for ebps having a short to ground pop up. I messed with a couple different things trying to figure it out, but I the end I just ran out of time. Since I'm running way too short on time before the trip and working all but 2 of the days before then and still haven't had a chance to dewinterize trailer and get it ready for trip I'm going to commit FTE treason, and take to to the stealership

I just won't have the time necessary to chase down a shorted wire or bad sensor or ground in what time I'll have available b4 the trip while working nightshift, especially if I need to order any parts. Even then I don't need to worry about the truck dying at every bump from expansion joints for 5k miles over 4 weeks. So I'll let the dealership mess with it, and turn in my man card
Otherwise the injectors feel nice and smooth on the highway, or really anytime I'm above about 1500rpm. They are a tad smokey below 4# of boost, but that's around the time the lope and odd engine sound is ending. All the pids I'm monitoring look great otherwise, so nothing to pint anywhere. Icp holds great. So I the install went great, just having the odd idle that I was fighting with split shots the past couple months b4 injector job
No need for a ban or revoking if your man card, quite the contrary. You are making a decision that will hopefully set your family up for a vacation that they will remember for the rest if their lives.
You are doing exactly what you should do and everything you can do.
We all hope it works out well and the dealer us a bill with only 2 numbers in front of the decimal point.
