I'm hoping to keep my originals, sounds like the aftermarket ones are a problem to get used to....lol
Same here, John. My knees hurt going down stairs, especially when carrying something. But you know I'm a stock guy, so I want to keep my original parts as long as I can
now they have me standing against the wall with a ball behind my leg ,press the back part of your knee against the ball and straighten your knee hold for 5 seconds do this 15 times-rest do it again this 2 times a day -with knee extended put rolled towel under ankle apply pressure behind behind knee hold for 1 minute-rest do it again-do this 2 times a day this one is crazy take a grocery bag and put your leg through the handles one on each side of the knee sit on the edge of a chair and put your heel on the edge of another chair now they want you to put 2 cans of soup in the bag now hold this for 10 minutes-do this 2 times a day there is no way in hell that i am going to be able to do this my right leg just below the knee is all swollen and red .tomorrow i am going to see the doctor-i want to find out what is going on i hope that i do not have a blood clot or infection

As I recall at the beginning ypu were weighing doing BOTH knees at the same time. Knowing what you do now what is your view point?
My father as you can recall from my post back then had BOTH knees done at the same time. The doctors and my wife who is a Physical Therapist for 30 years were not on board with his and his surgeon who did them both. He had a good tesult as a 74 year old. He was 5'10 and 175lbs and in good physical condition. No beer belly etc. He was a retired machinist. He was extremely detail oriented. He had the mind of an engineer and the ability to learn anything. If he set his mind to a task it would be done magnificently. He used that focus on his double knee replacement.
It sounds like you are progressing keep positive and expect a good result. Do your PT diligently and with good technique. Eat well and tone the rest of your body. This is the time to make strength, toning and stretching a lifetime habit.
Keep up the good work
I think may have said this already, but a college buddy of mine, who might be 70 now, had 2 bad knees. He got the worst one replaced. And now his other one has no pain.
both of my knees are bone on bone so i just had the right one done for now the left one was not as bad as the right but now every once in a while the left will crunch and start to give out but i am living with it the doctor says that i am right on tract that heel to butt really sucks but it has to be done
