I figured that out about halfway through Doc. Your handle here is trouble.
My Grandfather's nickname was "Doc". Everyone called him that. He was a mule farmer and managed a gas station, but it was a hoot as he got older and everyone sought medical advice from him.
I'm pleased to hear everyone on this thread seems to be doing well.
i am doing the best that i can they put 23 stitches in my knee .i get 2 shots in my stomach every day 12 hrs apart so far i have had 8 shots now i have to have 22 more they say that it is a blood thinner .i did not go for physical therapy i just came home the pt came today to go over a few things 2 hrs later the nurse came by and she went over a bunch of stuff she drew blood and said that she has to do that every monday and every thursday she also gave me some pain meds to take before i go to bed that is just about it for now thanks guys for being there
one week and I am walking with a cane , first few days where bad , now much better . a few weeks and it will be behind us , When I see people doing back flips on bikes , or other things that tear up your body , Sake my head and think , if you only knew

tim, i am glad to hear that your wife is doing well .monday was my first week and yes it was really rough ..so far i have had one nurse and a pt last monday -then on thursday i had a different pt and nurse show up .this time it was the first nurse again but there was a different pt this time it was a guy from panama he said that he had been doing this for over 38 yrs .he was real good now the male pt is coming back tomorrow and so is a different nurse next monday the real good one she is going to remove all 23 metal staples .i am doing a little bit better i just hope that i can get better real soon .i sure is nice to have a bunch of real nice guys pulling for you .i hope that your wife gets back to normal real soon .
the worst is almost over Bob.
it took 4 at home PT sessions for them to get me to 90 degrees bend.
the straight leg was much more painful.
by the end of the second week i gave up the walker and was using a cane.
by the end of the third week i was walking 1/2 mile a day.
i am so glad to hear that so many are doing so good .that gives me a lot of help .like i said before i want to thank all of you for all the words of encouragement .TOM ,like you said the first 7 days will be the worst .you are so right .you said that it took you 4 visit with the p t the pt is coming today at 10:30 .this will be his second time. the first pt didn't do hardly anything ,the second pt was a little bit better .this guy was pt #3 he was good he is the one coming today when i woke up my leg was swollen so bad that i thought that it was going to split wide open.i have a funny feeling that i am going to be laid up for a long time. thanks guys Bob
I guess the fact that the majority of us in our hobby are higher in mileage is evidence by one of the longer threads being focused on rebuilding the rebuilders . LOL

That occurred to me as well. When I was last active here the average age was probably low 40ish. We are indeed high mileage restoration artists or hobbyists now.
