I am wondering if anyone has any recommendations on a FICM replacement. I Need to replace mine and there are so many options I'd like to hear from some people who've replaced them and where they purchased them from.
Thanks for the kudos and referrals, guys! To the OP: we've taken care of thousands between this board and the others and would be happy to take care of you as well!
Regardless of whether we are honored to earn your business, please PLEASE just ensure the health of your charging system as part of what you are doing. We'd hate to see a perfectly good module damaged as a result of the 'smoking gun' behind the issue not being taken care of!
Loads more information is available on ficmrepair.com. Of course, you can always give us a call if you have questions or would like to discuss any questions further!
Sorry you are having trouble, but at least you now have an option that doesn't cost the over $1,000 that the dealers generally want while retaining the flexibility of getting a tune installed at the same time!
I can't argue that one company is better over the other. FICMrepair.com has a huge amount of rep in this here FTE club.
I for one was strapped for cash and found a deal that I had to jump on so I went with FICMfixer.com. They too offered similar upgrade to the Atlas HP gains. Shannon was the person I worked with over there but if I were to do it again and had more cash I would have gone with Ed because many, many folks here talk great about his company and business. Not to mention he is a member here
For those looking for even cheaper options, check out eBay. I've seen FICM services advertised for as little as $35. You just have to wonder what some of these places could possibly DO to these modules for so little money, how long they'll last, and how long the people behind these repairs will be there for their warranty. I remember one competitor from not that long ago, usaficm.com. They offered a lifetime warranty for something like $89 IIRC. They are out of business now...
