I have a Gen Y goose conversion for my 5th wheel and want to install the Pro Assist back up yaw sensor. I know it needs to be on a vertical surface but not sure if the angle of the this hitch will work. In other words there are no flat spaces that are parallel with the truck. Anyone know if it will work or should I find a spot “inside” the center of the hitch?
I've put two of them on the angled C channels of my goosenecks. They do not have to be parallel to the truck. The setup process works out the angle when pulling straight. Just slap it on a flat surface.
Put it here.
Note, the factory tape, not sure if it was 3M or not. Stuck mine on, fell off in a day.
Put it back on and left a clamp on for a day, been good ever since.
I have about 1400 miles with the hitch. I have nothing to compare it too since this is my first 5th wheel and got it out on when I picked it up. Deal who I trust highly recommended. So far I’m really happy with it. Super easy to use and seems to be a comfortable ride.
