I use a lever action bucket pump for our 5 gallon oils at the shop.

Sounds good sir. Once we return from TN, I will get in touch with you to see where you are at in regards to drop shipping and selling Triax gallon jugs. Thank you for your initiative and getting set up as another authorized dealer of Triax products. I would much rather support a FTE site sponsor than to go through Amazon or eBay.

So how is it going to work? We go through you rather than Amazon or eBay to essentially do the same thing? I am getting rid of Amazon for many reasons. Ebay I don't mind unless I learn something new like I have learned about Amazon these last few weeks. I would also MUCH rather support a veteran owned business. The plant is a short drive from me, but they have yet to set up ordering and picking up from them. Not sure why, but it is what it is.

I was just in Grapevine last year, had I known I would have bought a pail and carried it on the airplane and said it was for emotional support

As it was I already had loaded up my luggage with beers from Celestial Beerworks in Dallas

Looks like I won't be able to beat Amazon/eBay pricing since they are shipping truck loads to Amazon...

Retail + Shipping

5w-40 should be finished at the end of the month.

Minimum quaintly ~ 3x 5 gallon pails or 4x 4-1 gallon boxes.

Matthew, are you even close to the Amazon price or is it not in the same ballpark. I just posted in another thread that I was ready to purchase some Triax from you since our trip to TN is no longer required, but I had planned to PM you.

Let me know your price for four 1 gallon jugs. Shoot me a PM and maybe we can work something out. I would be willing to pay a bit extra if I am supporting your business, but I am on a strict budget as well and must account for every penny.

Talk to you soon sir.

Yes, same price as Amazon, but I'd need to add shipping. Free shipping from Amazon.

Man that sucks. I hate hearing Amazon beats out anyone small business. I guess ifyou had small retail space, you could add it as an inventory item, but then I know you're out the coin until you sell it. Sorry to hear it bud.

Tried to grow a pair, but didn't quite get there. I cheated and poured a gallon off the top of the 5 gal bucket to a 1 gallon container using the tailgate method, then put a moving blanket on the engine and filled the crankcase with the remaining 4 gallons. I left the oil filter empty, and sucked the HPOP reservoir dry for this change. I keep forgetting oil is not as heavy as water. The pail was not that heavy - I thought it worked well and was very controllable.

As you'd expect, it took a couple of 15 second cranks to get it to fire up, but it also gave me a chance to listen to the starter and see how strong the batteries were.

I'll drive it hard to get the rest of the air out of the oil system before I take another sound reading. I haven't noticed a big change in idle noise yet.

Jeff, good to see you didn't have to call the 800 number for support.

Did the bucket come with the pour spout or is that one of your own you bought for the job?

I plan to purchase some of this in the next few days and look forward to your impressions.

The bucket came with the built-in spout - that was a nice surprise - it worked well.

My Schaeffer oil dealer refuses to take me seriously unless I call it a pail.
