Wes, Lots of options for Anti gel additives on Amazon and a portion are prime shipping. I use ARCHOIL 6300…

https://www.ebay.com/itm/132474218536. This comes directly from Archoil which is located in Connecticut. Just keep that in mind if you need to stuff yesterday.

I offered to send Wes444 some fuel additives yesterday or the day before, but we figured they would get there too late.

Fram... Ya, I stopped using that brand when I was a teenager.

Well Wes, I’d offer to send you a bottle, but because of the weather you guys are dealing with it wouldn’t matter whether you got it off Amazon eBay it’s not gonna get to you in a timely matter anyway... Texas is getting their azz’s handed to them by the cold and snow. I called a trailer manufacturer in OK to place an order today they were closed because of the weather too...

After some delays, I was lucky enough to meet the local private party that was selling his left over 5w40 and 4 gallons of 15w40. I am planning to blend in my left over Rotella T6 5w40 I have with the Triax 5w40 in order to make a full oil change. He had some left over XPD as well and I was grateful to to take the oil and fuel additive off his hands. Great price for me and removed some unnecessary jugs of oil and clutter from his garage.

Unless there is a noticeable difference with the Triax, I still have plans of going with TSC Travelers 15w40 since they all have the Volvo VDS 4.5 certification which is what Triax strives for in their formulas. Time will tell...

Sous on the traveler's oil I noticed the other day that it no longer had the ford spec on the back that it used to have (I was recommending it to my buddy who is a delo guy but when I tried to show him the ford spec it wasn't there anymore). If I recall correctly it was also missing the Volvo spec but I'm not positive on that, I'm in there fairly frequently so I can verify that if you'd like. I know this doesn't necessarily mean that it's not up to spec but it's something to consider. I used Travelers 15w40 on my last oil change and it seemed to be fine but my truck is feeling like it wants an oil change already. Not sure how many miles are on it exactly but I'm positive its less than 6000. Also note I've been going through a lot of it due to a bad oil leak at my turbo, I've added close to 2.5 gallons at this point. I'll be fixing the oil leak this weekend and doing an oil change with Triax 15w40 (fleet supreme?) full synthetic. Probably will keep a sample to send off.

I just took a photo of the back of the traveller 15w40 I just used. I think this is the new stuff as I when I bought it there was was one bottle of CJ4 and the shelf. I bought this in Nov 2020. But to be safe,, look at the back of the bottle as they might get different batches from manufacturers. I think you could have potentially been looking at old stock. Also, I did a mini Armylifer and bought 20 gallons as it was sale at the time.

That's the same as the stuff I used in my truck, but more recently when I was in there me and my buddy couldn't find the Ford spec on the stuff they had in stock. Its possible I missed it, but I'll be in there soon to verify. Like the Triax guy told Sous if Volvo likes it then you're good to go but I thought Volvo was missing as well. I may be making something of nothing though and be wrong on both counts.

Thank you for jumping in here with an image that provides some evidence that the TSC branded oil is still in fact on each of the certification lists noted by BA86f250.

I had not heard of this or seen this mentioned in the past, but I would certainly like to see anything you have that says TSC Traveler's is NOT on the Ford

I am not an engineer, I am not a paid sponsor of Ford, Volvo, TSC, Rotella, Triax or any other company. So, I may be talking out of my rear end here, but all I have to go off of is what Ford, TSC and Volvo say when discussing Travelers or Triax products. I am good at paying attention to detail, reading, retaining knowledge and Google-Fu. I am not saying you are wrong, in fact, maybe you are the first one that is right!

The latest WSS-M2C-171-F1 listing is available here: Diesel Motor Oils Meeting WSS-M2C171-F1

As of 1/19/2021, on page 11, Traveler 15w40 Tractor Supply Company appears. I have highlighted it in the image below.

As of 3/5/2021 on the Tractor Supply Company website, the Travelers 15w40 "pail" has the following certifications noted for it. I have circled the Ford WS and Volvo certifications in red. I would also like to point out, that this is a "pail" of oil as described by 1-800-CAL-LWES (running joke created by ESwift about me being too weak and uncoordinated to lift a 5 gallon pail) and NOT a bucket.

Again, not to say you may have missed the information you were looking for on the bottle, but maybe you are the first to see it wasn't there. Why wasn't it there? Perhaps they have stopped printing it on the bottle, which is unlikely. Perhaps you saw some old stock, we know that happens still based on another recent oil thread. Perhaps Travelers fell off both certifications lists, but I see that as unlikely as well in my unscientific method of analyzing the details. I am very interested to see what you find, or don't find for that matter.

Recently I looked into the Volvo VDS 4.5 certification as to why it was considered the gold standard within Triax. Frankly, I had never heard of it until it was brought up in this thread or another Triax oil thread, I don't remember that detail...

It is very difficult to find information about certifications and 3rd party analysis if you are not embedded in the industry. I gave up after a while because I had other tasks to accomplish in the end, the Volvo VDS 4.5 doesn't make any difference to me, so I went along with the link that Triax provided to a friend of mine named Jake (FTE name Khan).

Using the link that Triax provided to Jake and Jake shared with us a while back, I was able to easily manipulate the certifications in order to place them in an easy to read format, as you can see below.

Again, I look forward to what you find and show us as details are what sets things apart or outside... Don't get lost in the details, just pay attention to them... I try, but don't always succeed...

Thanks again sir.
