Yesterday was a great day. Went to a Blue Lives Matter rally Lots of Thin Blue Line Flags on display. Trump was there in spirit I live in Loon Central so there is that
Best part was my CEL went off by itself. It took a few drive cycles and it finely went off. That was the best part of the day. My OBDLink came in the mail and I didn't have to take it out of the package. I am ready for the next time though.
I am so glad that all that work paid off. This was very easy to do. I never drained the tank. I pulled it out and did it right next to the truck. It was a bear to put it back though. Kind of awkward to pick it up when it was full. I used a pry bar and a 4x4 and got it high enough to put the jack under the tank. My wife was a big help.
Phones suck. Still working on it. This will not beat me.
Back to topic. CEL came back on (crap)
i downloaded Forscan and got my adapter. Cleared the code. Still off so far. What a powerful program. Very scary to use for the first time. I didn't do everything right but was able to clear the code. I am going to make some changes to my truck like DPF% screen. Turn on Bambi mode. I hear that above the temp gauges you can turn on water temp with numbers above the gauges. We shall see. I downloaded a spread sheet so I can make changes one at a time.
Remember to backup the default config before you make any changes.
I didn't have any issues configuring the 4 blinks but could not get the BCM to take the bambi mode config on my 2011 (which needs it). Mine is a base XLT without auto headlights and I wonder if that is the reason. I have that feature enabled on my 2017 Fusion and it's great.
I think I have success with Bambi. I did notice my fog lights dont come on till i turn the key on. Thats fine since I don't turn on the lights till I start my truck.
I have been watching lots of videos and my program is not acting like the ones in the video. I was able to modify my BCM for the lights but i want to access the IPC for the DPF% and it wouldn't let me. Going to watch more videos today. I think I have saved my configuration but I have only did the Bambi. If I go any further I will make sure to save what I have.

Congrats Bone. Maybe I'll mess with this one day myself for the Bambi mode.
My drama is still not over. I got some new codes today. then the dreaded message on the info screen. 50 miles till 50MPH limit. I tried to clear the codes but info screen still has the message. Have to call the dealer today. This will not be cheap. Just when I thought my truck was fixed.

These are not something I can't fix.
