Not completely but in a way yes. Received a good amount of backlash for posting this thread and my pictures. Have received both positive and negative private messages. If I offended anyone, I honestly don’t care at this point......
You received negative PMs over this? Wow some people are crazy!
Well, I cast a stone by using names and I apologize.....but, tinted windows can be dangerous because they are hard to see out of at night. If your sight is so bad that you need limo tint, then I would recommend not driving at night. As far as not having to wear sunglasses, that’s is minor compared to pulling out in front of someone. Believe me, when I was young, I almost killed a motorcycle rider by pulling out in front of them, thank GOD they knew how to handle a bike. I believe this falls in line with the those that want to break their cameras or display to watch movies while driving, tooooooo dangerous for other drivers. Just my .02.
I have had illegal tint for about 20 years.
When I pull up to a stop sign and I’m not 100% sure I’m good to go, I roll a window(or two) down to get a better look. Really not a big deal!
As easy as it is to sue doctors, upon further review..............I call BS.
A doctor that has half a brain would not open himself to litigation if there were severe injury or death involving something he/she signed.
Nuff said. I am out.

The doc may have written a letter saying that the patient has severe sensitivity to sunlight and never said how to counter that problem, never mentioning window tint.

And I have not seen a state yet that had any reservations about pulling a driver license if the operator could not operate within bounds of that states laws.
Yes, there are conditions for special equipment, but those are conditions; and in this situation there would likely be a daytime only restriction on the operator.
I still say it is BS.
How does my dark tint make me a narcissist? I prefer the heat protection, privacy, and the fact I don't need sunglasses when i'm in the truck. Worry about yourself, not how dark my tint is. [b]You guys are upset about the tint, how about being upset at Pelosi and her desire to ban words like daughter and father?[/]
EL OH EL. Some shenanigans went on in that Titan forum
You must be reading too much Breitbart right wing news interpretation. If you are really interested you can go to the actual House Rules https://rules.house.gov/sites/democr...sPIH-hres5.pdf and read it yourself.
The recommended amendments to the rules doesn’t ban the use of those words. It simplifies the rules by changing description in future proposals of family members. “Parent” and “children” replace daughters, sons, fathers mothers etc. For example you may not hire your parent or child vs not hire Mother, Father, daughter or son etc. how is that offensive?

Hahaha, stupid politicians trying to prevent slights where one is not possible.
You da man Larry................ I can not agree more with your mind set about that. One... most of them are lawyers. Two... the wording and sentence structure they use wraps you're mind up in knots... They make everything so complicated no one knows what's going on. They add to the add to the adding on. One thing comes to mind..........clusterfu..
I’m in Tx . Have 5% on the front windows. 2 layers of 5% on the back doors and back glass. And an eyebrow that’s about an inch and a half below the line. Been running the same set up on my last 5 trucks. Have only had one ticket in about 20 years.
In NY, window tint is part of the annual vehicle inspection. If tint does not meet NYS requirements, vehicle fails inspection. Not sure how aggressively this is enforced during inspection. No way for state to know if this step is skipped except if vehicle happens to get pulled over for excessive window tint shortly after inspection.
Window tint restrictions are in place for safety reasons. If you have a medical condition that is helped by window tinting, hooray for an exemption. Although I like the look of full tint, the cool factor is not a good reason for excessive tint. As a driver, I want to be able to see the driver in another vehicle so I know where they are looking as I approach intersections.
Or, the place that does the inspection can use a piece of glass they have laying around that isn't tinted. Sometimes dishonest shops can work in your favor, as long as you aren't needing something fixed right. haha. They did that for a headlight on an old car I had that starts getting frosted over on the headlamps. We don't drive it at night, so it's fine.
A high degree of tinting is great to cope with the heat, but unfortunately, it is forbidden by law. If the police see you on the road, they will make you take off your tinting and write a huge fine. I have experienced this, which is why I have completely abandoned tinting. I now drive only with sunglasses. And to protect my child from the sun, I bought a curtain for the back seats here at snapshades.com.au. It is a good buy, as this curtain makes my child feel comfortable.
