Does anybody have issues with the Sync3 system? I have a brand new 2020 F250 Tremor (bought in August) and I've had quite a few issues with the stereo. After turning on the truck and booting up a lot of the time it takes forever for the stereo to really be "normal". As in, it tunes to whatever satellite radio station I was on last but some of the times I can't change the channel or if I do change the channel, the display doesn't change with it to show current channel & song info. It did this for the first time back in September on a long road trip. For a couple of hours we couldn't switch the channels, change sources, anything. Screen was completely locked up. Even pulled over to the side of the road and turned the truck off and back on, that didn't work. Let it sit for a couple of minutes off, that didn't work. Ever since then it's given me problems. Sometimes I'll be driving and the screen will just turn black and reboot itself. One day last week I turned the truck on and it didn't come on at all and I couldn't see my backup camera (I was trying to hook up to my travel trailer). After a few restarts of the truck it finally started working.
Anybody else experienced these issues?
You should take your vehicle in because it sounds like your APIM is acting up and maybe it’s on it’s way out.
Try the Master Reset first but if the problems still persist afterwards, do what I suggested above.
Small pipe in here.... I have a metal Carport that is open on both ends and the Satellite radio doesn't always work due to the metal and blocking waves. It also will blink out when I am going under some, not all, underpasses or in a mountainous area.
When you reboot everything make sure you are in an area that you know will work.
I don't think this is your issue because of the other issues, just wanted to point out a small issue with Satellite radios. Which is why I will not pay for it.
