I have a set of HPOP lines from cnc fab that I need to install on my 2000. I have installed these same lines on my 2001. But, when I did that truck the heads were drained of oil and I had the HPOP out of the truck for a reseal. Are there any tips or tricks for limiting the oily mess I am bound to create by removing the old lines on my 2000? I do have the riffraff quick connect tool and plan on removing the springs/check valves out the HPOP too. Thanks
I drained the HPOP reservoir using a suction gun, and had minimal oil seepage from the HPOP and heads when I removed the old lines. I left the IPR installed.

As the fellas said above, drain the reservoir and go to it. Be careful when installing the fittings in the HPOP. When installing the fittings in the head, torque spec may not be enough.
Recently I had a leak at the passenger head where the fitting seated. The fitting worked itself a bit loose after several years of being in service. It took 1/3 a turn and has been good since.
