Vary quickly i noticed my f250 stock headlights are vary disappointing in the brightness department. Not only are low beams kinda generally dim and dont show far down the road, the high beams are not much better and are more for eliminating reflectors rather than giving me any benefits in a longer view range.
I have checked there alignment and they are right where they are supposed to be. A short amount of research revealed that our headlights are lacking as instead of using a separate bulb and a different set of reflectors to aim more down road they used one set of reflectors to aim it somewhere in the middle and just use a brighter light to act as high beams.
So my question is here what aftermarket headlights look nice almost stock but provide us with a better lit low beam and a much more down road and flooded high beam? Like give me a reason to need to turn off the brights when someone is passing me in oncoming lane, and something that i can actually see whats directly infront of me with low beams cuz i can hardly see anything. Any advice?
i stuck led bulbs in my stock 2011 headlights a few years ago; much better. they give a brighter light now, but to get more distance, you’ll probably have to go with a separate spotlight or something.
I installed LED bulbs in my 09 for the same reason. They still don’t reach out as far as needed but much better than stock. I installed the factory driving lamps however the wiring harness for them seems to be on permanent back order so they are no help at the moment.

What brand LED's did you use? Market is very confusing right now.....
I've installed many aftermarket lights onto trucks for my job, and my experience has been that LED lights are great if the housing is made to work with them. Just replacing the bulbs, at best, only marginally increase the light output, and at worst, less light output. OEM housings are made to work with standard bulbs and do not disperse the light efficiently enough.
Then again, cheap aftermarket lights are the same, so make sure you do your research before dropping money on them. Morimoto is a good brand name, so I imagine they will work well, but I have no experience with them...
