Hello folks! I’m new to this forum but I heard there is good advice to be found here.
I recently got a 1986 F-250 SuperCab that was Garage kept for most of its life, and while most of the truck is in good shape I’ve been having a lot of trouble with the power windows. I’ve had them looked at and I was told that the window regulators were shot and needed replacement. I looked at it myself and I can’t figure out how to remove the window regulator from the door panel since there are no visible screws anywhere. Does anyone have some experience with this?
Is your regulator riveted in place like the manual regulators? If so, you have to take a punch and drive out the center pin on the rivets, and then take a 1/4" drill bit and drill the rivets till the head of the rivet comes off. When you go to put it back in place you can use 1/4-20 bolts and nuts to mount it back in there.

Yep the regulator seems to be riveted into place. That makes this a heck of a lot easier. Thank you!
